About Learning Ideas

Over the last five years Learning Ideas Limited has become the number one supplier of ear training resources to New Zealand high schools. It is estimated that around 90% of New Zealand high schools use resources created and published by Learning Ideas Limited.

The company was initially created to meet the need that New Zealand teachers had trying to adapt to the new NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) system that started in 2002. When the NCEA system came out there were practically no resources that were specific to this assessment system.

Learning Ideas Limited has continued to provide music teachers and students in New Zealand and overseas with high quality ear training and music technology resources. As New Zealand teachers have adapted to the NCEA system our resources have become less ‘New Zealand specific’, making them more suitable for an international market.
