23730 - Operate digital music sequencing and editing applications, and use music notation software (level 3, 8 credits)

If you teach any aspect of music technology (whether that be full on live and recording courses or even just using Sibelius or Finale for NCEA composition notation) then this unit standard should be added to your programme.

This DVD-ROM resource is a series of videos looking over the shoulder of music technology teacher Duncan Ferguson as he works his way through a series of assignments required by Unit Standard 23730. While the videos are mainly focusing on completing the assignments in Pro Tools 7 and Sibelius 5 the principles and concepts illustrated can easily be applied to any sequencing and editing application and notation software.
